Stormwater season is upon us! If you haven’t reviewed your company stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) recently or are unsure of the monitoring parameters required under your Standard Industrial Code (SIC) within the current Industrial General Permit (IGP), now is a good time to review your monitoring responsibilities. Monitoring locations are identified in the SWPPP, and tests are typically specific to your industry and dictated by your SIC code. It is always advisable to review the SWPPP so that you make certain your organization is in compliance with the region’s stormwater program.
To ensure preparedness, please follow this link to order stormwater sampling kits in advance! Bottle orders take 2-3 business days to process for pick-up. Please allow additional time if kits are to be shipped.
Babcock Laboratories, Inc. wants to ensure you know about our streamlined sample receiving process to help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. Please forward the following guidance to staff members who provide sample transportation and delivery to Babcock Labs.
When delivering samples to Babcock Laboratories, please follow these simple steps:
1. Make sure the chain of custody (CoC) has been completed and is ready to submit.

3. Ensure samples are ready to submit.
4. Enter the Babcock Lab’s Sample Receiving Lobby
a. Please maintain 6 feet of separation from other clients and from Babcock Labs’ staff.
b. If a line starts forming in the lobby, a second mobile sample receiving station will be opened.
When transporting and delivering temperature sensitive samples with short holding time methods, we ask that you keep this new sample receiving process in mind to ensure continued quality service. In addition, please place bottle orders and requests for sampling supplies well in advance to avoid delays and expedite the sample delivery experience.
The day of sample(s) submittal, we will have replacement sample bottles should you require them.
