We are writing to inform you of an upcoming update to Babcock Laboratories’ pricing, effective April 1, 2026.

In 2025, when many organizations were navigating economic uncertainty and shifting budgets, Babcock Laboratories made an intentional decision not to implement a list price change. Our goal was to support our clients with stability during a volatile period while continuing to invest in the service quality you rely on.

At the same time, we advanced several operational initiatives that delivered measurable improvements for our clients. In 2025, we increased our on‑time delivery performance by more than 14%, achieving an on‑time rate of over 94%. This significant improvement reflects our continued investment in people, processes, and technology to ensure timely, accurate, and defensible results.

As we move into 2026, sustained increases in key cost drivers including labor, consumables, shipping, insurance, and critical laboratory technologies now require a pricing adjustment. Beginning April 1, our service rates will reflect a 7% update. We remain committed to a measured and infrequent approach to pricing changes, making adjustments only when necessary to support long-term service quality and operational stability.

This update directly enables ongoing investment in the areas most essential to our clients:

• High-performing technical personnel and dedicated project management support, ensuring responsiveness and dependable communication.
• Expansion of analytical service offerings aligned with evolving regulatory requirements and client needs.
• Advanced instrumentation and laboratory technologies that enhance data quality, strengthen turnaround times, and support consistent, on-time performance.

Babcock's Riverside and El Centro Laboratories will be closed on Thursday, November 27th, and Friday, November 28th in observance of Thanksgiving. All locations will reopen for regular business on Monday, December 1st. 

To ensure continued quality service when transporting and delivering temperature sensitive samples with short holding time methods, we ask you to please keep this holiday closure in mind. Samples should be submitted to the Riverside location no later than 5:00 PM Wednesday, November 26th. For the El Centro location, all samples should be submitted by 12:00PM, Wednesday, November 26th. 

For microbiology samples submitted on Wednesday, November 26th, clients will need to provide an office and cell phone number at which they can be reached on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 27th, if their drinking water sample(s) for Microbiology results exceed the Maximum Containment Levels (MCLs). In this situation, Babcock Laboratories’ analysts will need to make a verbal confirmation with the client. If Babcock Laboratories cannot get ahold of the client, we must notify the Office of Emergency Services. 

Additionally, please place bottle orders and requests for sampling supplies well in advance to avoid delays and expedite your sample delivery experience. 

Please forward this information to your staff members involved in sample collection, transportation, and delivery to Babcock Labs.

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure reliability and performance, we will be performing a scheduled DNS cutover beginning after business hours on Friday June 13^th.

During this time, there may be temporary disruptions or limited access to key services, including our website, email communication, and the Concierge platform. While we expect the DNS changes to fully propagate within 24 – 72 hours, please note that these services may be unavailable for up to 72 hours as the changes take effect across networks.

This letter is to announce an important change coming to Babcock Laboratories’ service offerings. Extraordinary inflationary pressures related to supply chain issues, shipping cost increases, severe labor shortages, and compensation adjustments required to retain a skilled labor force necessitate changes to the cost of our services.

Commencing January 1, 2024, Babcock Laboratories, Inc. will implement a five percent increase in the price of analytical testing and sampling outlined in the Babcock Labs schedule of services. The new prices will apply only to work received for analysis on or after January 1st and will have no effect on samples and services covered under existing contracts and professional agreements.

Once again, services being rendered under current contracts and other agreements remain unchanged.
