Located in Riverside since 1906, ESB provides analytical testing of water, wastewater, and hazardous waste to a wide variety of municipalities and industrial clients. Earlier in the history of the company it provided agricultural testing for the citrus industry, area farmers, and miners. As a cornerstone of local business, Babcock Labs was called upon to support water companies and districts when they were first formed. Western Municipal Water District has relied upon ESB’s lab services since the District’s inception in 1954. Today’s chemists at ESB regularly test for toxic chemicals, like perchlorate and nitrate, in local groundwater and wastewater.
As a member of ACIL, Babcock Labs works to promote the Council’s standards of ethics, integrity and proficiency in all aspects of laboratory work. More information about E. S. Babcock and the American Council of Independent Laboratories can be found at www.babcocklabs.com.
