Certifications

Babcock Laboratories has been certified by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) since 1928 for the analysis of drinking water for public health protection. Our laboratory was one of the first in the State of California to receive this certification.

Since that initial certification, Babcock’s accreditation has never lapsed. Today, our certification includes not only the microbiology of drinking water and wastewater, but also the complete inorganic and organic analysis of drinking water, wastewater, groundwater, soils and hazardous materials. 

ESB is approved for the testing of drinking water, wastewater, groundwater, soils and hazardous waste in the following fields:

• Bacteriology
• Inorganic Chemistry
• Toxic Chemical Elements
• Organic Chemistry
• Extraction Tests
